Training course in Istanbul

In a month a training course on new media competences and skills starts in Istanbul 14-23 of April 2013. The project title is Youth4Media environmental protection & employability.

There will be 3 main groups during the week in Istanbul:

Video, cross-media and social info campaign: this group is for beginners. You will learn basics of video camera work and basics of online journalism. You will also learn how to plan and conduct a social info campaign.

Video journalism and media trainer role: this group is for intermediete participants. You will learn video journalism and you will take over trainer role in your video group.

Cross-media journalism and project management: this group is for advanced participants. You will learn how to plan and manage a youth project and how to promote them via new media and
online tools.

By an advanced training of and active participation of multipliers from different EU countries and Turkey in train-the-trainers-workshops, thematic presentations, intercultural seminars and media productions the project pays special attention to gain qualified trainers in project management and quality management as well as high quality trainer competences to empower young people for a civil society engagement and an active EU citizenship.

With the help of community media and Web-TV tools the trainings will familiarise youth workers with the methods of how to establish civil society engagement, European awareness, a feeling for environmental protection and sustainability of cooperation between young people in Europe.

They will gain trainer competences to train the youth in projects and learn how to work creatively with modern digital media.

We are inviting 2 representatives of our member institution from ARR Social Development Association (Finland), Borne – og Ungdoms TV (Denmark), European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation (Poland), Romanian-German Foundation (Romania), FilmCentrum Väst (Sweden), “International Youth Iniciative” Association (Spain), Youth Art Research and Training Association (Turkey), Inclusive Arts (United Kingdom) and Alert! (Greece) to participate in a eight-day training course.
