Youth in Action TV

„Youth in Action TV” – is a youth informational initiative that has realized the promotion of Youth in Action programme, the intercultural dialogue and political education with the help of attractive visual media. The project achieved: building a network of youth reporters in Europe, creating international web-TV magazines, producing a comprehensive media kit and launching an  information campaign about Youth in Action programme.

About 120 young people completed intensive media training seminars in videojournalism and crossmedia journalism. They built a network of young reporters from 5 countries and were involved in creating media reports about the manifold actions of YiA program and youth initiatives done in their countries. They contributed to dissemination of best practices of the Programme through one of the most progressive modern media – internet TV.

In framework of the „Youth in Action TV” project there were created internet TV magazines promoting “Youth in Action” program (disseminated in www.europeanweb.tv and www.owtv.de as well as in Open TV channels in Europe). Several editions of the TV-magazine created by the team of international youth reporters were highlighting the different actions and priorities of the Youth in Action Programme.

A long-lasting result of the project is the creation of the multimedia information kit about “Youth in Action” including aspects of political education (active citizenship, EU-democracy, participation of the youth). It featured a comprehensive printed and visual (films, reports, social ads) presentation of the programme and each of its actions, objectives and priorities. The Youth realized a wide informational campaign launching informational materials (official ones from Eurodesk network but mainly new created media materials to target group Youth (in schools, NGO´s, public places). The promotion campaign in big cities of France, Germany, Poland, Latvia and Turkey was followed by the presentation in the cities of Orleans, Muenster, Lublin, Riga and Istanbul.

The project was supposed to raise the awareness of all those living in the EU, especially the young people, for the importance of the Youth in Action programme, of political education, youth participation and intercultural dialogue in their daily life. In the framework of our information campaign for the  YiA program, we have organized a network of 18 Youth NGOs, which will disseminate our multimedial YiA Info-materials until 2013.
