Mysterious writer from Novi Sad

During my visit in Serbia I met travel writer at Novi Sad. A mysterious, very kind and interesting lady was sitting on a bench and talking with random strangers.  At first sight I thought she is just lonely person who likes talking with people. But after a while when we were talking deeply I understood that this is the way how she writes her books. In her stories are not important the places which she visited, but the people she met and with whom she travelled.

Now is the time for feedback and the story about her. As far as I can remember I just have got a few information about her. How can I write a story about someone if having so little information? Seems impossible. But..let’s try!

Anna Maria Feher, the lovely travel writer, is Hungarian from her father’s side and Serbian from her mother’s side. She chose to be Hungarian because she feels like one of them.

Her books are about people whom she met while travelling and those who helped her. But she wasn’t travelling alone. On her adventures and great journeys her family was with there - her husband and their two daughters. How amazing - no excuses for traveling! She really has the soul of a traveller. Each of the important figure in her life has a special place in her books. The collages in her books are made in a specific way - of scratched pictures from her journeys and places she visited. Thanks to that you look at the collages and you can see how each chapter of the book looks like.

She studied art in Serbia and her flat was decorated with lot of pictures of people close to her heart. She is bit of a perfectionist so when she paints pictures she improves them constantly to make them the best. Her flat is full of stuff from all of the places she visited and lot of them had to be moved to her house in Hungary where lives with her children and grandchildren.

Mostly she was travelled to India, Nepal, Asia and South America. Her flat is a small one, but the atmosphere there is very nice and warm. When is she coming home, she has a ritual which she does every time and she was so kind to show it to me and my friend.

Unfortunately, I could not find any more information about Anna Maria Feher.  All which I know about her is just from that one visit. I do not have any contact with her, just remembering the house where she lives in Novi Sad. After I met Anna, I would like to know more about her and some more stories from her life.

Maybe one day one of you, my readers, will recognize the lady from the pictures and will find out more about Anna Maria Feher’s life because it is a great pleasure to meet her.
