100 years anniversary of the World War 1st

In cooperation with the city of Münster Youth4Media and Bürgerhaus Bennohaus has made a project: "How do you see World War 1st in your city". Young people from France, Germany, Poland and Russia prepared a videos in which they showed the inpact of the war in: Orleans, Münster, Lublin and Rjasan.

The project focused on giving young people the opportunity to involve in media and create videos about the First World War which started 100 years ago. The films realized the effects of the war inthe twin cities of Münster - Lublin, Rjasan and Orléans. In the beginning of April the young authors of the reports came to Bennohas to film their moderations which were a base for an unique, created just for this occasion magazine.


The result was presented on the 04.04.2014 at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University in Münster. The conference was organized by the German Society for East European Studies (DGO ) with a cooperation with Stadt Münster. With the words : "We are happy that we can be together after 100 years" youth from different countries finished their special video. The head of the project and managing director of Youth4Media Daria Jaranowska concluds: "For me as Polish, the outbreak of World War I meant mainly the celebration of Independence Day: National Day and no school. Only through this project I realized what exactly that time means nowadays".
