Final meeting in Cracow

The 5th transnational project meeting of SASME project took place in Cracow, Poland, on 28th February and 01st March 2019.

Project partners from Poland, Germany, Romania and Lithuania met to talk about the last issues connected to SASME. The project is about to end soon. Before it is officially closed there are still tasks to be done. First of all, all the partners are still working on the translations of the last edition of Senior Voice magazine. Manko – the leader of the project is planning to print it till the beginning of April. Each of the partners will receive 3,000 magazines, which will be spread among seniors. In this edition, they can find some articles about the topics such as: ‘Love 60+’, ‘Senior’s point of view’, ‘Local patriots’, etc. Sections ‘Stylish senior’, ‘Gardening senior’ and ‘Local recipes’ will also be there – as it was the case in the previous editions. The magazines will be available in 5 languages: Polish, English, German, Romanian and Lithuanian.

There are 2 multiplier events still planned for March 2019. The leader organisation from Poland will organise its event in Cracow and the partner from Romania in Timisoara. Both events should gather all in all 30 participants from different organisations. The aim of the events is to promote the SASME project. It is important that the local community, especially organisations working with seniors, will get to know about the products of the project and will start to use them. The multiplier event organised by the Bennohaus took place in Münster May 2018.

During the transnational project meeting in Cracow partners also talked about the financial issues and final reporting.

On the 28th February also the final conference of the project took place. Internal and external speakers were talking about the issues connected to the main topic: “Active seniors –Active Europe: Innovative actions for social activation of seniors in Europe and beyond”. Local and European seniors joined the event, as well as social workers interested in those issues.

SASME project will be officially finished in the end of March.
