MeLDE in Münster

The beginning of April 2019 was the time for MeLDE project to visit the loveliest bike city in Germany. Guests from Cyprus, Greece and the UK met between 2.-3.04.2019, and apart from intensive project meeting could have experience German culture.

The second official project meeting took place in Münster, Germany and was hosted by Bürgerhaus Bennohaus – a citizen centre of the Ostviertel district of the city. There, the participants from the UK (University of Wolverhampton), Cyprus (Emphasys Centre, Antenna) and Greece (Demokritos) met in order to discuss the next steps of the project. The partner organisations are now in the process of finalising the Intellectual Output 1 – a comparative FRAMEWORK with details of the current state of digitalisation in schools of the partner countries, students' and teachers needs, and benchmarks and indicators against which students’ learning will be assessed. What is more, the date of the next transnational meeting has been set; it will take place in Athens, Greece in October 2019.

MeLDE – Digital Literacy in the Digitalised era: supporting teachers through a whole-school approach – aims to develop relevant and high quality skills and competences and to open education and innovative practices in the digital era by offering open and free access to the tools to be developed both for participation in the MeLDE programme and for online assessment and validation of the skills acquired. It also aims to strengthen the profiles of teachers through the professional development course to be developed, the educational pack to be created to support teaching and learning of digital media skills.
