Young Photographers and Peace Effect – Photo exhibition

Today Germany is celebrating Unity Day. Thousands of kilometers farther Afghanistan is still fighting for peace. Not only the soldiers are involved but also young people who share their thoughts through photography.

For the first time, the civil peace service (ZFD) was holding a photography contest in Afghanistan. Therefore the organization has encouraged those who have interest to the subject to apply. This contest was open to any photographer, amateur or professional from across Afghanistan. Each applicant has submitted up to three photos electronically. ZFD received 237 applications including 741 photos for the YPPE competition. In the selection process the team of jury/consultant notified fifty (50) selected photos out of 741 which are included the three (3) best photos to be praised.
