A place where visitors can discover and enjoy nature as well as learn about botany and ecology.

Founded in 1803, the Botanical Garden situated in Münster, Germany is open to the public and seems to be city's oasis. Full name in German is Der Botanische Garten der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität Münster, which means it belongs to the University of Münster and therefore it provides resources for scientific research and teaching. Additionaly, one the Botanical Garden's other funcion is conservation of species - and genetic diversity and maintenance of collections which are valuable from a scientific point of view.
