Youth4Media is ready for summer!

Colourful programmes, a huge crowd of visitors, yummy snacks and lots of fun. Münster gathered to celebrate the first rays of sunshine on 31st of May at Bürgerhaus Bennohaus.

The “Sommerfest” (Summer Festival) is an annual event that takes place in Münster, Germany once a year. The event is organized by Bürgerhaus Bennohaus with the main aim of offering space for community catch-ups and cultural programmes, such as: music, theatre and dance performances.

This year, the stage was taken over mainly by acoustic music: the duo “Elma”, Tania Pentcheva, “Kaum Jemand”, the senior choir of Klarastift, the duo “Frink” and Hanna Meyerholz. All received a well-deserved applause from the crowd. The improvisation theatre group “Glutamat” brought many shades of colours and humour to the event, such as the talented artists of Circus Alfredo. The Brasilian touch was provided to the festival by the capoeira group “Caloreira”.

Meanwhile, representatives of local initiatives and non-governmental organisations were offering information and consulting to the visitors of the Sommerfest. Youth4Media gladly joined the fair in order to inform young people about the current activities, previous project outcomes (mostly Team Up) and the possible ways to join the upcoming training opportunities organized by the network. Benedikt Althoff, the managing director of Youth4Media, also could not resist joining the summer celebration: he was performing some of his own songs at the Youth4Media information stand as well.
