New Media Production Methodology

Nowadays, multimedia-based skills are inevitable for several occupational profiles. Whether trainer, psychologist, image- or PR-counselor: in many lines, freelancers and independent experts become more and more popular. Due to its limited budget, this very target group has, compared to larger companies, less possibilities to resort to multimedial technologies.

Coevally, the use of independent experts, coaches and advisors is a competetive advantage for many enterprises.

Hence it´s important to give new implements to professional freelacers in order to enlarge their reportoire as well as their communication possibilities at the free market.

At this point, „New Media Production Methodology“ turns up: from Jan. 2013 until Dec. 2014 running project of the Bennohaus shows how commercial software, equipment and technics can be used to close the gap on permanent employees.

Three project partners from Germany, Poland and Spain developed, in collaboration with the board of trustees of Bennohaus, Arbeitskreis Ostviertel e.V., a multilingual compendium (Polish, Spanish, English, German) that was edited online plus in paper mold.

Crucial issues of this guide are three modules: module A – multimedial production, B - crossmedia journalism and C - train the trainer. Footing of this new compendium is the handbook "MediaTrainer", which was compiled by Arbeitskreis Ostviertel e.V. and a variety of european partners between 2008 and 2010. By means of new and modern developments, adjusted input and a pilot phase with umpteen trainings and expertise-sharing networks in each participating country, the new compedium was created. An integral and new componente are the so-called "Webinars", online tutorials for theoretical input. These take place by the dint of an online platform, where one media coach gives interactive seminars for plenty of participants.

At the final event in Warsaw at Nov. 26th, the guide and the learning website was presented to general public. A large number of  lectures were given and a concluding discussion between the project managers finalized the solemnity. Nowoczesna Firma, the primarily responsible Polish project partner provided their rooms for the event. The german project manager Arndt Selders of Arbeitskreis Ostviertel e.V. states: „It´s been interesting to see, how our old handbook passed through a metamorphosis and was adapted to the new target group as well as to modern alterations”.

The European Commission and the Lifelong Learning Programm promoted this project. For further informations visit http://newmediaproduction.eu/
