Break the generation gap

On Sunday, April 15th an international media youth exchange "Break the generation gap" starts in Poland. It will promote intergenerational dialogue and active participation of young people in the society. Several Youth4Media members are involved in this project.

The project will be attended by 26 participants from Czech Republic, Finland, Spain, Poland and the United Kingdom. Young people will meet in Lublin (Nasutów) with a group of seniors from the Culture House Węglin.

They will work together and get to know each other. The main objective is to build a relationship between two different age groups, which can learn from each other. This will be achieved through media such as video, internet, photography, blog. During the exchange participants will learn basic knowledge about the media and communication with seniors.

At the end of the exchange, on April 21st (Cafe and Bookstore „Cooperative”, Lublin, Peowiaków Street 11) there will be a final presentation of project results with exhibition of photos and videos
made by young people and seniors. Break the generation gap project is organized by European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation in Lublin and supported by the Youth in Action Programme.
