We were at the Dublin Community Television seminar

Building sustainable community based Youth TV Europe seminar in Dublin was an
event organized by Dublin Community Television (DCTV) with the support of Youth In Action Programme. The idea of the seminar was to connect the experience that DCTV has in working with youth centers, youth workers and young people in creating a wide range of community television programs with the international experience of partner organizations that participated in the seminar.

"This was an invaluable experience and a huge dose of motivation for future work for us and we hope to develop our cooperation with DCTV and other partner organizations further in the future. Thank you for the opportunity", said Magdalena Pięta, Michał Dyjach and Agnieszka Sapryk from the European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation in Poland.

Participants had a chance to take part in study visits in Dublin youth centers working with DCTV and learn about their scope of work, take part in brainstorming sessions on the shape of the future of youth media, listen to presentations of all participating organizations, work together to
develop existing partnerships between the organizations and develop ideas for new projects.

They got to know new opportunities in EU funding for youth projects in the guest lecture by prof. Alan Bruce, learn a lot about Irish culture and the current situation of young people in Ireland. The seminar took place between 22-26 of May 2013.

Organizations participating in the seminar were: DCTV, St John Bosco Youth Centre, Bradog Regional Youth Service and Near TV as host organizations from Ireland; Associazione Videocommunity from Italy, Community Media Association from England, The Foundation for Woman Entrepreneurs from Malta, Stadi TV from Finland, European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation from Poland, Aarhus Global Media / Invandrer TV from Denmark, IQ Support from Romania, Station House Media Unit (SHMU) from Scotland, European Youth4Media Network with German and Polish representatives, IES Puerta Bonita from Spain.
