It's a place with authentic Mexican charm. When I went there for the first time I thought What the heck? The walls indside are covered with posters of Luchadores - cult Mexican wrestlers - and their masks, which at first look kind of creepy. After some time you have the impression that without them Taco Heroes wouldn't be so exceptional. The music, good latino rhythyms, is always too loud but it's not a problem either. The restaurant is open everyday but the best time to grab some tacos is Tuesday as since 5 pm there is "Taco Tuesdays" when tacos are served for 1€. This is the best price for the amount of food you get. And they are really deliciosos! Daily from 12 c'clock Taco Heroes offers tacos, burritos and quesadillas. In the evenings you can enjoy a selection of unusual tequilas, Mexican beers, margaritas and cool longdrinks. During the weekends there are DJs who play great music so the place offers not only the best food but also fun afterwards! 

So what exactly tacos, burritos and quesadillas are?

A taco is a dish composed of a corn/wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. The filling include beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and cheese, allowing for great versatility and variety. Very often salsa, chili pepper, avocado, guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce are also added. Taco is traditional Mexican food.

A burrito is a dish consisting of a large wheat tortilla with a filling, which is wrapped into a closed-ended cylinder. Sometimes can be lightly grilled or steamed in order to soften it. In Mexico, meat and refried beans are sometimes the only fillings. In the US, burrito fillings may include Mexican-style rice or plain rice, beans or refried beans, lettuce, salsa, meat, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and various vegetables. A burrito is a type of Mexican and Tex-Mex (from Texan and Mexican – it is a fusion of United States cuisine and Mexican cuisines) food.

A quesadilla is a (usually corn but also wheat) tortilla, which is filled with cheese and then grilled. Often a mixture of spices or vegetables are added. A full quesadilla consists of two tortillas filled with cheese and put on top of each other. Halves are a single tortilla filled with cheese and folded into a half-moon shape. A quesadilla is traditional Mexican food.

It's more about this specific atmosphere which you can feel and understand only when you visit this cosy and at the same time crazy restuarant situated on Wolbecker Straße.
