Gregory Thanopoulos was born in Athens, Greece in 1979. In 2004 he joined his town's photography club and got hooked on taking photos. He took part in numerous group exhibitions. For five years he has been the official photographer of Meet Market, a monthly bazzar featuring hand made products from hundreds of participants.
In 2011 he wins the public's first prize of the annual Athens photo marathon, with his photo "Urban Mary".
He was the still photographer for the big budget movie "Promakhos" which main target was the return of the Elgin Marbles back to Greece. He also has covered numerous concerts and fashion projects.
Currently, he is taking photos of youth exchanges all around Europe.
