...until we meet again!

´One of the most amazing experience in my life! I'm inclined to believe that every participant of German-Israeli `The Walls of Remembrance´ project said it.´ The project has already finished. So how was it?

Thirty young people from Israel and Germany met in Münster - the city of bicycles - where they spent a magnificent and busy week. They worked in three groups: a music group, a film group and an art group. During that week those talented people have created a splendid song, an interesting short film and a moving animation - all of which relating to the topic of the project. They broke walls in their minds, the stereotypes concerning their countries and let the friendship bloom in the city of Münster. During the project the participants visited the City Hall where they were warmly welcomed by one of the city's mayors Mr. Gerhard Joksch; went on a day trip to Amsterdam and organized German-Israeli intercultural evening. They also visited local restaurants and pubs as well as saw Münster's main landmarks.

The closing ceremony took place on 26 July 2015 in Bennohaus. The trainers - Daria Jaranowska, Grzegorz Konopski, Max Hafemann and Gidi Dukas presented the outcome of their groups' work. Afterwards, every participant shared their feelings and experience obtained during the project. What's more, all the participants received a certificate of participation handed by Mr. Joachim Musholt - the chairman of Bennohaus. After the project's success, its second part will take place in October 2015 in Rishon Le-Zion, Israel.

The beginning of the cooperation between AKO Bürgerhaus Bennohaus, Youth Department and Revivim High school started last year when the organizations did a project concernig Yiddish songs which took place in Münster and Rishon Le-Zion. In April 2015 the mayor of Rishon Le-Zion came to Münster and also visited Bennohaus where he discussed with Mr. Joachim Musholt about next project ´The Walls of Remembrance´. All the projects are organized by AKO Bürgerhaus Bennohaus in association with Youth Department Rishon Le-Zion and Revivim High School. Sponsored by LWL and supported by Stadt Münster, Freundeskreis Rishon Le-Zion and Municipality Rishon Le-Zion.

All the participants want to thank Bennohaus for organizing `The Walls of Remembrance´ project and giving us the possibility to participate in it. When it's time to say goodbye, don't forget that:

`Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again.´
