Partnership for the project “Side by Side – Living together in the globalizing world”

Description: Over past 7 decades, European countries have put lot of effort in shaping the new vision of our continent and its future development. Over the time, some values such as plurality, tolerance and human rights have been set as some of the most precious characteristics of the modern Europe. Still, difficult economical situation as well the fear of the new tendencies has created the atmosphere in many European countries, which fits increase of the right wing political movements. With its conservative and often aggressive political ideas, it’s becoming harder to reach the set goals. There is more and more discrimination within our societies, level of solidarity and compassion is decreasing and the impression we are getting is that youth is particularly strong affected by these changes. Therefore, we would like to bring young people from EU and its neighboring countries together and create a space together where we could more freely experience the diversity and plurality existing within their own countries and raise the level of mutual understanding among youngsters who are coming from different nations. Further more, we would also like to provide space for debating strategies of how to integrate those developments into the methods of international youth education.
